Since 2006, Ron has been a freelance creative director, art director and designer. He works with established and emerging brands and marketers, as well as
with communications and design companies. Ron has worked on categories from consumer goods to technology and healthcare, with brands including Canon,
ITT, WebMD, Parker Pens and Sotheby's.
Prior to freelancing, Ron was a creative director at Doremus in New York developing brands in the financial and b-to-b space. He was responsible for the
Bank of America account, as well as the Deutsche Bank and Rabobank business. Ron also oversaw the work of the agency’s design studio which crafted
integrated marketing materials for Bank of America’s commercial banking and global wealth management divisions.
After graduating with honors from Art Center College of Design, Ron started his advertising career at DDB in New York as an art director and eventually rising
to a group creative director heading up brands such as Seagram, Audi, International Gold Board, NEC Technologies and Colombian Coffee.
In 1994, Ron moved to Seattle to be the creative director of Evans Group, Seattle's largest agency. Ron was responsible for the agency’s accounts that ranged
from Seafirst Bank and PetsMart to the Washington Dairy Commission and Starbucks Coffee. Ron is most proud of the efforts the agency put forth on the
Starbucks Coffee business, which was in its infancy with stores in only the Pacific Northwest. The work redefined coffee and coffee drinking, and was an
integrated effort from in-store signage, specialty coffee labels and packaging to advertising in print, outdoor, radio and television.
Returning to New York in 1997, Ron rejoined DDB as a creative director. His accounts included Michelin and Johnson & Johnson skincare.
In 2000, Ron went to Wolf Group as a group creative director. He worked on Haagen-Dazs, Wales tourism, British Tourist Authority, The New School, Equal
Sweetener and New York State tourism and economic development. In 2002, New York City and The Advertising Club of New York gave recognition to
Ron for the success of his work on the post 9/11 advertising to help rebuild New York's tourism and business economy.
After Wolf Group, Ron later joined Doremus.
